Our Rehabilitation Program consists of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Language Pathology. Our staff of specially trained therapists and nurses provide quality patient care using up-to-date equipment to those experiencing problems with mobility, self care, and/or communications. An example of the type of Individual who may benefit from our program is one that is unable to withstand three hours of intensive therapy a day or requires a higher degree of nursing/respiratory care to be accepted for most general short-term acute rehabilitation programs.
Plaza Specialty Hospital offers a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary team approach to each rehab patient's plan of care under the direction of a board certified physical medicine physician. Our Rehabilitation area includes a dining room for meals and activities. Additionally, the rehabilitation facilities are located on the unit in close proximity to patient rooms.
Our Speech Language Pathology Department provides specialized attention to adults with communication and swallowing disorders, as well as cognitive impairments resulting from stroke or other illness.
